Pochampalli Double Ikat Cotton Saree

Description

The ikat sarees woven in Telangana are more popularly known as Pochampally after the village which is more well known. A few other villages also weave ikat. These sarees are tied and dyed in beautiful geometrical patterns before weaving. It requires a skill and precision which only master dyers can achieve. Pochampally sarees received GI tag in 2005.
This lovely orange body and black cotton saree has white squares which runs both on the warp and weft of the weave producing a lovely design. Comes with a black blouse piece.
