Description
The ikat sarees woven in Telangana are more popularly known as Pochampally after the village which is more well known. A few other villages also weave ikat. These sarees are tied and dyed in beautiful geometrical patterns before weaving. It requires a skill and precision which only master dyers can achieve. Pochampally sarees received GI tag in 2005.
This black base Pochampally cotton single ikat saree has intricate patterns in white throughout the body with a lovely teal border and pallav. Comes with a teal blouse piece.
