Description
The?Kondha weavers of?Chicheguda,?Kalahandi district, Odisha are originally attributed for weaving of the Habaspuri fabric. Traditionally these were woven on thick, coarse cotton fabric. The borders and pallu are elaborately and intricately woven with fish, flowers, etc motifs. This white and dark green Habaspuri has woven fish motifs on the border and pallu. The entire body has tiny tortoise motifs woven in dark green.
