The aayiram buta saree or the Thousand Buta saree has as the name suggests, a thousand woven motifs of alternate mayil or peacock and chakram or circles within thin checks that span the entire body of the saree. These are traditional motifs are accented in beautiful colour combinations and an elaborate woven pallav. This aayiram buta saree is more interesting as it also is a mubhagam or three part saree. The borders are wide in shades of beige and the body is shot coloured with beige and blue that creates an interesting shade. The pallu is again a shot blue and cobalt blue
