Pichwai is the traditional art form with which the curtains behind the Lord’s statue is painted in Nathadwara temple. The paintings depict the life and stories of Lord Srinathji also known as Lord Krishna. While, the traditional art form is practised by the artisans who paint the scenes as an offering to the Lord, we can only claim to be inspired by the motifs. This Kerala cotton saree has the Pichwai painting inspired cows on the pallu and the lotus flowers and leaves on the border and pallu.
