Gamcha Saree

Description

The Budha gamcha sarees from Bihar was part of the design intervention that transformed the humble gamcha or the towel into a classy saree for the contemporary woman. Initially these gamchas in Bihar were woven in powerloom, until the weavers themselves started making it on hand looms. This is one of the first handloom sarees that our weaver produced. A bright yellow, orange, red and blue checks, red and blue ganga jamuna borders and a blouse piece.
